Hi, I'm Yen-Hua Chen.
We aim for decoding the dynamics of cellular metabolism in health and disease.

A Little About
Myself.

I came to Columbia University Medical center to study the metabolic regulation of lymphocyte differentiation and self-renewal under the supervision of Dr. Steven Reiner.

After I acquired my Ph.D. degree, I joined the lab of Dr. David Artis at Weill Cornell Medicine. My projects aims on how cytokines and receptors regulate the crosstalk between innate lymphoid cells and other immune cell types, especially focusing on inflammatory disease in lung and small intestine.

My studies are focused on immunometabolism with an emphasize on how glucose, amino acid, and fatty acid metabolism affect different immune cell types involved in the type 2 immune response of mucosal inflammatory disease.

On February 2023, I joint School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, at National Sun Yat-sen University.

Case Study: Mitochondrial dynamic determine immune cell fates

My research primarily focuses on immunometabolism, encompassing two main areas: (1) How do cellular metabolic pathways regulate immune responses? (2) How does the systemic metabolic environment influence immune reactions? Specifically, my work emphasizes two mitochondrial-related domains.
